Let’s Read! Learning Japanese through Science & Technology-1
本講座では、東京大学の研究内容に基づく科学技術に関する文章を読み、基礎的な日本語の専門語彙や重要な表現の使い方を習得しながら、読解力を向上することを目指します。また、読解学習にとどまらず、テキスト動画やインタビュー動画を利用し、「聴く」、「話す」、「書く」といった連繫した力を養うこと、さらに、理工学系の知識を発展的に広げ、深めることを目標としています。 教材は、日本語教育の専門教員が作成したテキストや動画に加え、理系の専門教員にインタビューした動画が含まれています。これらの教材を、内容重視アプローチ(content-based learning)を用いて、効率的に学んでいきます。内容重視アプローチ（content-based learning）は学習者のモチベーションを上げ、中級のレベル以上のアカデミックな語彙を含む語学力を身に付ける際に有効です。

I was very Interested in taking this course because I wanted to explore the skills related to the various field and Japanese language is one of my favourite course. As well as it was related to the Engineering so I was able to relate all the technical skills related to my technical knowledge and I am very thankful to you professor because you are very skilful in the teaching field and as well as your explanations are understandable even though I am N5 or N4 level beginner of Japanese language I was able to interpret the meaning. This course is great for anyone who wants to learn about scientific/technological topics through Japanese. It would also be great general practice for someone at JLPT N3/2 level. The course is well structured: each week starts with vocabulary and grammar around a particular topic. Gradually more difficult exercises are introduced over the course of the week culminating in a short interview with a real-life researcher in that topic. I enjoyed every aspect of the course.

I really like how the vocabulary is recycled around the common theme of Science and Technology. The topics were interesting. I like the specialist interviews. I have no comments for how to improve the course. I hope that a continuation of this course for JPLT N2 learners will be available on Coursera.

The pace of the lessons is just right and appropriate with the level which is intermediate. I enjoyed the course pretty well :)
