Module5 of the Power of Words opened!

The first half of Module 5 will be a workshop-style discussion with actress Minami Ohba on the ‘dynamic power of words’ in Japanese colloquial free verse and prose from the Meiji period onwards, which was the subject of Module 4.
In the second half, along with graduate students from Masahiko Abe’s seminar group at the University of Tokyo, we will examine in detail the changes occurred in Japanese prose from the Meiji period onwards, considering the process of modernisation.
