Module4 of the Power of Words opened!

To enjoy poetry, it is essentialto focus on the form andmeaning of its words. In Module 4, we will look at the characteristics (repetition, line changes, rhyme) of British fixed verse and the Japanese colloquial free verse influenced by it from the Meiji period onwards.Atthe end of the module, we will read poems by Irish poet Seamus Heaney and consider the changes occurred in contemporary British poetory.
