Module1 launched! (The Power of Words)

In this module, weexplorehow the writers of the colloquial free verse and prose developed from theMeiji period onwardswere influenced by fixed verse. Through dialogue with poet Mutsuo Takahashi,we will consider ways of thinking and uses of language that are typical of fixed verse, which remainacommon thread in Japanese literature as well as their cultural characteristics as a whole.
