How to register?
MOOCs are open to everyone. All you need is access to a computer, an internet connection and a desire to learn. To begin, you will need to register for an account. You will have a different experience in your course depending on whether you choose to view the free content or pay a fee to get access to graded assignments and pursue a certificate.
Coursera
- Go to Coursera.org.
- At the top of the page, click Sign up.
- Choose whether you want to provide a name, email, and password or link your Coursera account to your Facebook profile, Google account or Apple ID.
- If you choose to create a new Coursera account with a name, email, and password, your password needs to be eight characters or longer. Once you create your account, you can change your account settings any time.
The University of Tokyo is a participating partner of the Coursera Partner Consortium. By registering with a UTokyo email address, you gain free access to courses offered by 103 partner universities.As of 6 August, 2021, there are 3,266 courses available through the Coursera Partner Consortium. edX
- To begin, please register for an edX account.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter your full name. Your full name will appear on any certificates that you earn.
- Create a public username for the forums (cannot have spaces). Note that you cannot change your username once it has been created.
- Create a password.
- Select your country.
- Select Create an account for free
When you find a course that interests you in the course catalog, you can enroll in the course by selecting the Enroll button on the course About page.
